2. Information stored
Pictog may store on the device the information needed to personalize and operate the communicator:
- Local profiles, names or nicknames and language preferences.
- Symbol order, favorites, saved phrases, routines and the current message.
- Custom words, including their label, spoken text and chosen photo.
- Voice and reading-speed preferences.
This data is stored in the app’s local storage. Pictog does not use it to create an account or advertising profiles.
3. Camera and photo library
The app requests camera access only when an adult chooses to photograph an object for the board. It may also request Photos access to choose an existing image.
The selected photo is copied to Pictog’s local storage for offline use. The app does not send these photos to its own server and does not retain location metadata when importing a photo.
4. Voice and intelligent features
The “Speak” feature uses the system’s available speech synthesis to play the message text. Audio is processed according to iOS/iPadOS speech features and device settings.
When supported by the device and system, some language assistance features may use Apple Intelligence on-device. Pictog does not use it for accounts or advertising. For Apple’s processing, also consult Apple’s privacy information for your device.
5. Connectivity, analytics and third parties
The communicator’s main features are designed to work without an internet connection.
Pictog includes no analytics, advertising, cross-app tracking or sale of personal information. The app declares no collected data or tracking domains in Apple’s privacy manifest.
6. Backups and shared content
“Backup and restore” creates a copy of profiles, preferences, messages, phrases, routines, custom words and related photos. It stays under your control; Pictog does not upload it automatically.
If you share or save it with system tools, the destination has its own terms and privacy policy. Check the recipient before sharing.
7. Retention and deletion
Information remains on the device while you keep it in Pictog. You can delete profiles, phrases, routines, photo words or messages in the app. Uninstalling may remove local data; make a backup first if you want to keep it.
8. Your requests
You can write to [email protected] to ask about this policy, request clarification about information handling or report a privacy issue. To help locate a problem, include system and Pictog versions; do not send sensitive photos unless essential.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Pictog features or applicable requirements change. The date at the bottom shows the latest review. For material changes, we will explain them clearly in Pictog Support.
